So are you ready for our 2nd day Backpacking Adventures? Saan aabot ang restday mo?

   Give a chance to experience the beauty of Tibiao Antique. Following our short western visayas getaway, we headed to Tibiao.

   There are many things to do in this province:

• MALALISON ISLAND- The most striking feature, a15-20minutes from Municipality of Culasi (This is part of our original Itinerary, due to conflict of sched we missed this island) 
• Ride the rapids of Tibiao river (La escapo offer river activities that you must try)
• Attempt to scale the seven tiers of Bugtong Bato falls. Just a 45minute trek from La Escapo (We didn't have a chance to hike Bugtong Bato falls since we arrived late in the afternoon, for safety reasons it is not recommended to visit falls late afternoon to dusk)
• Experience to be cooked in a Kawa (Kawa Hot Bath)

HOW TO GET TO TIBIAO: 

  Since there are no direct flights, still have various ways to get there to Antique from Manila. You can either try plane via Iloilo/Caticlan/Kalibo

• Via Kalibo -

 From Kalibo ride a trycle going to Kalibo bus terminal - 50PHP
Ride a bus going to Pandan terminal bound to Antique and drop off to Barangay Importante - 70PHP

• Via Iloilo - 

From Iloilo Airport, ride an airport van to Molo terminal- 50PHP
Ride a van or Jeep to Antique, drop off Barangay Importante- 110PHP
Travel time:
BUS: 3-4 hrs
VAN: 2 1/2 - 3hrs

• Via Caticlan - 

From Bus terminal accross Jetty Port, Ride a bus going to San Jose Antique then drop off Barangay Importante - 110 PHP

Habal Habal ride! 15minutes to La Escapo Lodge

DAY 2 Itinerary
12:00PM- Depart from Ceres Bus Terminal bound to Antique
 2:00PM - Arrival at Barangay Importante, Ride Habal Habal to La Escapo Lodge
 2:15PM- Arrival at La Escapo Lodge
 3:00PM- Lunch Meal is ready ( Time to Eat!)
 4:00PM onwards - Enjoy and Experience the Kawa Hot Bath
10:00PM - Shutdown
 5:00AM- Wake up time / Breakfast
 6:30AM- Depart from La Escapo Lodge, Ride Habal Habal to Crossing
 7:00AM - Ride a Ceres Bus to IloIlo

   There are no luxury hotels as you expected, just inns or Bahay Kubos. They also offer affordable meals and drinks. We recommended staying in La Escapo Lodge. Thanks for sir Michael (forgot his lastname. Club Manila East, employee) he recommended this lodge which is cheaper than what we expected.

2 Beds + Electricfan + Towels + Pillows + Blankets ( May Additional pa na bedfoams, kasya up to 3 beds sa isang room, Malamig sa kubo so no need for airconditioned room!)

Tinolang Manok + Grilled Chicken + GG (Perfect sa medyo maulan na weather)

   Take note : There's no cellphone signal at the place, you'll only hear the rushing sound of the river ( So better upload pictures ahead of your earlier pics, go online tell your family and friend you'll be out for a while feeling important ang peg 😂)

Kasya pa sampuu! Charot! (This is for group kawa)

   So this is what we came for, the most awaited Kawa Hot Bath experienced !!! So this is how Jacuzzi thing in the province??! Sound exciting right? (Hahaha). They have hot baths for:

•  Solo (Single na gustong mapagisa at makapagisip isip kung bakit iniwan ni ex haha), 
• Couples (Magsama kayo sa init iluto ko kayo ng buhay dyan e haha, kayo na happy! Joke lang) and 
• Groups (Para sa mga squad na walang iwanan, kahit may bf/gf na di iiwanan ang singles hahaha). We are so lucky , that there were no lined up guest after, so it is UNLIMITED HOT BATH!!! It really feels good to relax away from the busy toxic city! 

BACKPACKING SAVING TIPS:

• We would suggest, you can try the kawa group hot bath alone so you can dip your whole body in the heat. Its the same price tho.
• Make sure you ask for the trycle fare first, You can also try 2 persons per Habal habal that's 70PHP per Habal Habal (Kung sanay ka naman ipagsiksikan sarili mo then push!)
• Foods are affordable! (100pesos each person for lunch,evening,breakfast total na namin yan!)

  A day in antique is very short, would definitely be back to experience all the tourist places/ attraction in this overlooked province.
